1. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed truly significant gay rights legislation in California today, "requiring insurance companies doing business in California to offer the same health coverage to registered same-sex partners as they do to married couples" (NYT).
2. Arnold also "courageously signed an important needle-access bill this week, similar to one that was vetoed twice by his predecessor."
3. Check out the reviews of Kitty Kelley's book on Amazon.com. People by and large like the book and think the Bushes are scary and horrifying. They find the anti-Bush reviews "helpful" but not the smaller number of pro-Bush ones. As someone posted just yesterday in a review, "Seems like the anti-bush reviews are in the majority, just like it's gonna be come November 2nd!!"
4. I also learned from reading these reviews that lots of American military personnel in Iraq are seeing Fahrenheit 9/11. Woohoo!
